Filhand is a Filipino family-owned recruitment service based in Spain, specializing in providing trusted and professional Filipino domestic staff.
Our journey began with our own story.
We moved to Spain as a family of 4 from the Philippines, a country known for its hospitality and strong family values. Like many expat families relocating to a new country, we experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to adapt to a different culture, learn the language, navigate unfamiliar systems, and build a trusted support network.
When it was time for us to look for domestic help for our own home, we realized something important.
Communication matters.
Trust begins with understanding.
For our family, that meant finding someone who could confidently speak English and genuinely connect with our household.
That experience inspired the creation of Filhand.
Filipino domestic workers are recognized globally for their professionalism, compassion, and strong work ethic. In addition, the Philippines is one of the largest English-speaking countries in the world, with English as an official language used in education and professional settings.
As Filipinos and expats ourselves, we understand both sides. We communicate clearly and transparently with expat families and Filipina candidates to ensure expectations and responsibilities are aligned from the very beginning.
Today, Filhand supports English-speaking and expat families in Europe who are searching for reliable Filipino housekeepers, nannies, caregivers, cooks, chauffeurs, and caretakers. We bridge the cultural and language gap so families can focus on building their lives and feeling truly at home.
